Last week was Holy Week, this is important in the Catholic Chrurch because Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday happened. For our Must Do task we had talk about why these days were important in Holy Week, here is my create.

After we finished our Must Do task, we then had to make our create, our class had the choice to pick there own create task we could have done the Stations of cross – Minecraft version, Animation of Holy Week, Make a poster explaining the Stations of the Cross and more, but I chose mine about the poster explaining the stations of the cross, If you chose the poster you had to make a detailed explanation on what happened during the stations of the cross. This week in writing we had to choose a person to write a biography about that made an impact and you could have chosen anybody that made an impact to people, like you could have chosen Kobe Bryant because he made an impact on basketball. But the person I chose was Martin Luther King Jr, and he made an impact to others by leading the civil rights movement and stopping racism. I haven’t finished my biography on MLK but here is what I’ve done so far.

This week for RE we had to make a poster, about a quote in the bible. The quote I chose from the bible was talking about how you need to let your heart take courage and God will reward you with love and will always be with you. This week in reading we have been learning about Sir Edmund Hillary. It was really interesting to learn about Sir Edmund Hillary and his trip to the top of Mount Everest. For this weeks reading create I did a google drawing and in the create you had to make a significant image about Edmund Hillary, which I made Mount Everest. This week in reading we have been learning about special agents. We had to choose on what special agent we had to write a profile about, we had the option to choose Noor or Nancy Wake, they both were special agents that were sided with the allies. Here is what I did for my create task for this week.

After reading about this, my thinking has changed about special agents and how they were used for war. It was really interesting to learn that special agents were not only to get info but to help if they made new weapons and if they can use it against them.

The focus of our reading for the last two weeks has been on the treaty of waitangi, we had to complete 9 tasks about the treaty of waitangi. I will now show you three of my tasks that I have been working for the past two weeks.

This few weeks for PBL, we have been learning about earth systems, such as the three types of rocks, igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic, the water cycle, the atmosphere, soil, biodiversity and ecosystems. For the create we had to make an island, I made my island on a map, my map includes a village, a mountain, a volcano, two big caves, a dock, a waterfall connecting to the lake below, a well, tons of bushes, rocks and trees. My island name is called GigaChad.

This week in reading, we have been reading about skyscrapers. The two my group were reading sbout were the KVLY-TV mast and the Burj Khalifa. Two facts I learnt were that the KVLY-TV was completed in 1963 and stands at 2,063 feet tall, and the Burj Khalifa began in 2004 and finished at 4 January 2010, at over 828 metres (2,716.5 feet). My reading goal was to make connections between texts and Identify some text events and features, and discuss what they make the reader think about. This week in writing, we did a task board, and we had to do three tasks. The first task I did was the Twitter challenge. We had to choose what we were going to be tweeting about. The options were what would happen if you didn’t drink water, what would happen if you didn’t sleep and what makes muscles grow. I did what would happen if you didn’t drink water, here is my tweet.

This week my reading group learned about antibiotics and how they all don’t work. Some types of bacterial infections are treated or prevented with the help of antibiotics.
